Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s Talcott Mountain Music Festival presents:

Aretha: A Tribute

The Talcott Mountain Music Festival commences with a dazzling tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. Starring vocal powerhouses Capathia Jenkins and Ryan Shaw, the performance celebrates Aretha Franklin’s illustrious career with renditions of iconic hits including “Respect,” “Think,” and “A Natural Woman.” The program also features a heartfelt Salute to Ray Charles, capturing the essence of the 1960s golden age of soul music. 

Details: Entry to the field begins at 6:00 pm. All concerts begin at 7:30 pm.

Weather Policy: Rain date is Saturday, June 29th.

Seating: Please bring your own seating.

How to Purchase Tickets: Purchase at hartfordsymphony.org, over the phone at 860.987.5900, or in person at the Bushnell Box Office (166 Capitol AveHartford, CT 06106) Monday – Friday 10am-5pm.

Strictly Prohibited on the Grounds: Smoking, hard liquor, drugs, ball playing or other sports equipment, pets, fireworks, sparklers, firearms or any other incendiary device, radios, boom-boxes or other stereo equipment, solicitation or unauthorized concessions or handouts, tents, tarps and large tables, lewdness, drunkenness or other inappropriate behavior.  Audio and video recording and flash photography are prohibited during the performance.

Accessibility and Parking: On-site paid parking and accessible parking is $10 per vehicle and available first-come first serve on the day of the event. We also offer free parking and accessible shuttle service to and from Henry James Middle School and the commuter lots at the intersection of Wilcox Street and Iron Horse Blvd.

Food & Beverage Policy: Picnics allowed (no hard liquor). Beverage/bar service and food concessions will be available for purchase on site.

First Aid: First Aid services are available in the southwest corner of the site, near the front of the lawn.  Trained First Responder personnel are also stationed throughout the grounds.

Lost and Found: Lost and Found is located in the First Aid Tent during the concert.  At all other times those items will be available at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center Office.

Clean Up: Please help by bagging your trash and depositing it in the available containers.

Restrooms: Portable toilets are located on site.
